We booked a studio and it came the studio is quite a one-bedroom apartment with a spacious living room and a full-equiped kitchen. There is oven, fridge and dish washer in the kitchen. And a supermarket is just 5-10mins walk at Railway station -- very convenient for us. And there are washing machine on lobby floor, free usage for those who stay there. All facility are in high quality and quite new. And the parking is just backyard. Besides, there are several nice Fado restaurant with 15mins walk -- good to spend a Fado night. The staff was nice too (though we didn't get a chance to meet). He helped us to book taxi as we are living 4:15am that morning. And there was staff helping to clean the room everyday.
Santa Apolónia Cosmopolitan atmosphere where the historic and contemporary come together.
Over the last few years Santa Apolónia has been at the forefront of the city’s urban renewal. The development of the terminal for cruise ships, and the renovation of the train station, coincided with the revival of the neighbourhood. Little by little derelict buildings were restored and then made way for charismatic housing spaces and a privileged area for commercial and local community services at the heart of historic Lisbon.
We suggest you discover the neighbourhood on foot. Pass by the National Pantheon, visit the São Vicente de Fora church, barter at Feira da Ladra and get lost in the alleys of Alfama. Afterwards walk down in the direction of the river and you will find the trendiest restaurants, bars and shops of Lisbon with a dazzling view of the Tejo river.Santa Apolónia Cosmopolitan atmosphere where the historic and contemporary come together.
Located in the typical neighbourhood of Alfama, the museu is dedicated to the Portuguese Guitar and to Fado, considered by Unesco in 2011 as World’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.
